Former Wakefield Charitable Event Held in Montreal

A Polar Plunge took place this past weekend in Montreal. raising money for Regional Hospice in the area. As reported by the Daily Globe, the North Pole Bar Polar Bears Plunge was a spin off the Regional Hospice plunge that took place every year in Wakefield until the pandemic brought the event to a halt. A total of 14 people took the plunge, and participants collected pledges in order to jump. Betty Zanutto brought in the most money with $1,865 in pledges. Jillian Johnson brought in the most money in the children’s category with $1,138.
There were also raffles and a costume contest. In total, the event raised $8,684, exceeding their goal
