Downtown Ironwood Development Authority Meets, Talks Money

Budget was a main topic of discussion at the regular meeting of the Downtown Ironwood Development Authority this past Thursday. City Treasurer and Finance Director Paul Linn said the largest revenue source for the DIDA is the millage in downtown Ironwood. The Daily Globe reports Linn’s projections say there will be a slight increase the taxable value of the downtown properties. This means a small boost in revenue from those taxes. The DIDA will also continue to write grants for First Friday events. The DIDA didn’t take any action on the budget as Bruce Greenhill was absent and Chair Amy Nosal said she wanted everyone to see it.
