The cumulative COVID-19 case rate for Gogebic, Ontonagon Houghton, Baraga and Keweenaw counties has dropped for the fourth week in a row, as reported by the Daily Globe. In an update from the Western Upper Peninsula Health Department on Friday, In the last seven days, there were 33 new COVID-19 cases in Gogebic and 13 new cases in Ontonagon. There was also one death each in Gogebic Ontonagon and Baraga counties . This means that at least three people in the western U.P. have died with COVID-19 for 11 weeks in a row.
