Ashland City Council Has Seat Open

The president of the Ashland City Council has resigned from his position in order to apply for an IT/Geographical Information System position. State law prohibits someone from holding an elected office with the same municipality for which they work. Kevin Haas says he regrets having to give up his elected seat, but feels the geographical information system position is a good opportunity for him. There are two candidates on the primary ballot to fill the District 5 seat Haas is vacating.
