The Northwind Natural Foods Co-Op has created a new program to help kids in need. A Co-Op Family account will be available for anyone under 18 to use for a healthy free snack. The Co-Op invites the community to make either a monetary donation or by donating loyalty points to the account. When the account reaches $1000, the co-op will let everyone know through contact with schools, food assistance programs and social media that it will be available for use. After that, kids can pick out a snack and tell the cashier they will be using the Co-Op Family Account. To donate or for more information, go to northwindcoop.org.
