Bessemer Fire Department Acquires Essential Lifesaving Equipment

Thanks to a generous donation from a fire department in the lower part of the state, the Bessemer Fire Department has an upgraded set of Jaws of Life tools. According to the Daily Globe, Specialist Trooper Jason Berg of the Michigan State Police Fire Investigation Unit in Negaunee helped coordinate the acquisition. Berg, a native of Bessemer said he’d gotten a call from a fire department where he had worked, asking if he knew of any department that could use a well cared for set of Jaws of Life Tools. Berg was able to arrange for that set to get to the Bessemer department. Township Supervisor Jeff Randall, the upgrade is a real win for the township.
