Bessemer Creates City Signage Ordinance

The City of Bessemer is looking to create an ordinance that would prohibit signage from being put on city property. According to the Daily Globe, City Manager Charly Loper said it was discovered that Bessemer didn’t have an ordinance of that kind and that a public meeting on the matter will be held during the next planning commission meeting on March 1st. After the public hearing, the commission could have a first reading, another public meeting and then a final reading before the resolution become effective two weeks later.
