Wisconsin State Representative Tom Tiffany Visits Hurley

Wisconsin State Representative Tom Tiffany of Hazelhurst made a swing through his congressional district, stopping to visit the Iron County Memorial Building in Hurley earlier in the week. The Daily Globe reports that Tiffany said he’s using the trip to take questions from his constituents, taking questions from about 20 residents while he was in town. This was his first visit to Hurley as representative. Questions brought forth at the meeting were about a graduated income tax on the super rich, and the influx of Afghani refugees in the area after the US withdrew from the war in Afghanistan. Tiffany said that he was concerned that these refugees were not properly vetted through the Special Immigrant Visa program.
