At last month’s meeting, the Wakefield-Marenisco School board took a bid for replacement of windows for the school. The bid came in at over $1,000,000, so as the Daily Globe reports, the board made the decision to replace all the windows except those in the gym, which brought the bid down to just under $870,000, still over budget by about $100,ooo. A specialist hired to help with infrastructure projects for the district worked with Nasi Construction and got the price down further by about $40,000, which the board found to be acceptable and voted to accept the bid and begin the project. Windows are expected to arrive sometime in May, and replacement will start after that.
