The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is looking for public input on the proposed update of the state’s wolf management plan. The current plan has been on the books since 2008 with one update in 2015. DNR large carnivore specialist Cody Norton said public feedback is key to how the DNR improves the plan to protect the long-term health of the wolf population in the state while also meeting the needs of local communities. Anyone who would like to take the survey should complete it by January 31. The link to the survey and more information about wolves can be found on the DNR’s website.
