At their regular meeting on Monday, the Ironwood City Commission authorized a call for bids for the new water treatment plant. According to the Daily Globe, the commission heard an update from the engineering plant company that designed the plant, and HDR said they’ve completed designs for the new plant for review. The new plant will be in the same location as the old pumping station, which is a historical structure. All told the plant will have three floors and will be set up for fluoridation, which the commission approved this past November.
