At a hearing of the Iron County Board of Supervisors early last week, the board prepared to accept funds allocated to the county through a bipartisan deal of broadband infrastructure that was passed in early November. According to the Daily Globe, the deal will bring $100 million to each state and the opportunity to compete for further funding. The next step is to use the Northwest Regional Planning Commission’s broadband survey to find where there are gaps in service and the ISPs the county can work with in those areas.
