Despite the very cold weather and cloudy day, the 13 annual SISU Ski Fest was a great success. There were several classes of races, with almost 500 people participating in the 5k Fun race. Race Director Jackie Powers said this year was a much welcome return to normal after last year’s virtual race, due to COVID-19. Nearly 800 turned out for the event, the largest attendance in the history of the fest and came from all over the tri state area and Canada. Because of donations along with entry fees, they will again be able to give some back in the form of community and outdoor recreation grants in the area.
