First Weekend of Ironwood Snowmobile Olympus A Success.

Racers and race enthusiasts prevailed over bitter temps to attend the first day of the Ironwood Snowmobile Olympus at the Gogebic County Fairgrounds this past Saturday. No danger of the ice melting on the track, according to event organizer Greg Basom. He said first day of the races went well, with no incidents. All 52 scheduled races took place and there were no incidents and no racers dropped out. The event attracted racers from all over the country. This weekend, racers will reach speeds of 100 miles per hour at the USSA Prostar event this Saturday and Sunday at the Olympus.
