During a special meeting of the Wakefield City Council at the beginning of the week, two candidates were interviewed for the seat vacated by Amy Tarro, who resigned shortly after being re-elected last month but did not take the oath of office. After hearing from each candidate, each was nominated by a council member and the council voted approving Mike Zeckovich for the seat. Carrie Braspenick, the other nominee shook hands with Zeckovich and he then given the oath of office and he took his place at the council table.
