Mercer’s Northwoods Winter Wonderland festival starts Saturday with the Candy Cane Christmas march and the wreathing of the Claire d’ Loon. The parade will begin at 3:30 p.m at the Mercer Department of Natural Resources ranger station and will travel south along U.S. 51 to the Mercer Community. The parade will pause at 4 in front of the chamber office to light the tree and Santa and the Mercer Fire Department and EMS personnel will place the wreath at Claire d’ Loon. Prizes will be given to the best entries for businesses, individuals and non profits.
