After opening day postponements due to lack of snow, Mt. Zion Ski Area has announced on their Facebook page that they plan to open today from 9-4. Work continues on getting the tubing hill open. Director of Mt. Zion Operations and the Ski Area Management program at Gogebic Community College Jim Vanderspoel said conditions are marginal, but expects that man made snow will make up for any lack of natural snow.
