COVID-19 Cases Rising in the U.P., Vaccination Clinics Scheduled

The Western Upper Peninsula Health Department reported late last week that there have been more than 200 COVID-19 cases in Gogebic, Ontonagon, Houghton, Baraga and Keeweenaw Counties since December 8th. Iron County Public Health has two COVID-19 clinics scheduled for the rest of the year. The Pfizer vaccine for children and adults will be available at the clinic on 210 Fifth Ave. in Hurley on Dec. 20 and 28. A follow-up date for the Pfizer vaccine is scheduled for Jan. 4. They are also doing walk-in appointments for the remaining people who still need their vaccinations and have contacted the department.
