With the area receiving more than a foot of snow, and ski resorts busy making snow, all ski resorts have announced are officially up and running. Blackjack Mountain opened at the beginning of the month and Indianhead followed on the 10th. Whitecap opened right before Christmas and Big Powderhorn Mountain opened just a couple of days before Christmas. All resorts are reporting they’re seeing skiers, despite the fact that most of the snow is man-made. Snow is in the forecast for the weekend, so hopefully, there’ll be more powder to ski on during the New Year’s break.
