Winter sports fans got a special treat this weekend, as they gathered at the Historic Ironwood Theater to screen Warren Miller’s new film featuring ski and snowboard athletes called “Winter Starts Now”. The event was organized by Dan Tregembo, coach for the Ironwood Ski Devils and proceeds from ticket sales benefitted the high school ski racing team, helping to pay for coaching, equipment and maintenance for the team. Travel expenses add up quickly with the team attending races at Powderhorn and other resorts across the U.P. The event raised about 60% of the team’s expenses for the season, which starts January 1st.
