In events in Ironwood and Watersmeet this past week, the Gogebic County Ambulance Committee explained the purpose and need to renew a two year emergency medical service millage. The presentations were to educate votes on the purpose and the need to support rural emergency services. The proposal to be voted on on November 2nd will be for continuation of the current one mil per $1,000 of property value which would be used for support and oversight of ambulance services through 2024.
