The Iron County Airport terminal was busier than usual on Monday, there were passengers arriving from Chicago, with passengers waiting for the return flight, and there were folks there celebrating the grand opening of the new air service for the area. The Denver Air Connection is the area’s new essential air service. Passenger numbers for the first few days equaled nearly a month with the previous airline. Denver Air Connection’s jets seat 50 passengers in comparison to the former airline’s 20 & 30 seaters. With the increase in passengers, the anticipated expansion of the airline terminal will be welcome and should begin later this year.
