Grand re-opening ceremonies were held this past Saturday for The Pat O’Donnell Civic Center. Presentation of the colors and a flag raising ceremony by JROTC cadets started the event. Jim Milden, a member of the civic center board and Ironwood City Commission spoke to the crowd about the historical significance of the center. Ironwood Mayor Annette Burchell also addressed the crowd before cutting the ribbon. She thanked all those involved, including Mark and Denise Stephens, whose generosity helped purchase the Zamboni and helped finance a big portion of the center’s enhancements.
