The Ironwood City Commission yesterday denied an appeal regarding an adult use marijuana establishment that was seeking to operate a retail outlet in the city. The commission confirmed that CultivatD LLC, was tentatively approved for two processor licenses but did not score high enough in competition for one of the two retail licenses available. Any company has the right to appeal, but it is the city manager’s responsibility to review the appeal and make a decision accordingly. Scott Erickson, the city manager, said he thought the scoring was proper and adequate, and saw no reason for the commission to change the score. CultivatD LLC will have its request reviewed again in a year.
