Ironwood is poised to have its revised zoning ordinance reviewed by various commissions and boards and then approved by the end of the year. Consultants are working on creating hyperlinks which will allow views to navigate through the ordinance effectively. Once that is complete, the Economic Development commission will review specific sections. The revision of the ordinance will hopefully reduce the volume of calls asking for clarification of specific sections and reduce the need for the planning commission to interpret ordinance language, which will take some of the unnecessary burden off of the EDC and planning commission reviews.
