Future Work on Range View Drive to be Considered

When the Hurley Finance Committee meets on Monday, they’ll consider the cost of an environmental study to supplement future project proposals that includes Range View Drive. The study would be submitted with a grant application to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. The Public Works Committee decided to defer the decision to recommend the environmental study to the finance committee, and if they say yes, the decision would go to the full council on Tuesday. The study is the next step in addressing the reconstruction of West Range View Drive and 10th Avenue from U.S. 51 to the Hurley K-12 school entrance. The current roadway is only 21 feet wide at the shoulder and is uneven.
