COVID-19 Testing Being Made Available to Students

The Hurley Public School Board announced that a third party company will provide daily COVID-19 testings at no charge for students who request it, and parents that ok it. The Wisconsin Department of Instruction has contracted Covid Clinic to perform tests at the school entrance in the mornings, and drive through service near the north door. Testing will be available for students and their family members. The test administered will be the PCR test, which takes about 2 days to get results, usually emailed to the parents. PCR testing is considered to be the most accurate. So far this year, of the students tested, there were six positive results and 34 students with symptoms or reporting a close contact and were tested and showed negative results.
