Gogebic Community College held its annual College Day on Tuesday, providing an opportunity for high school students to learn about college and military opportunities after they graduate. There were representatives from nearly 3 dozen colleges and branches of the military present to answer questions from the students, like programs, costs, financial aid, admission requirements and activities. More than 350 students attended the event from districts throughout Ontonagon and Gogebic counties, as well as as well as students from Iron County, Wisconsin. This included students from Ironwood, Bessemer, Wakefield-Marenisco, Ewen-Trout Creek, Watersmeet, Ontonagon and Hurley school districts. College Days has been held at GCC for more than 30 years.
