The Wakefield Planning Commission discussed the subject of urban blight at their most recent meeting earlier in the week. City Manager Robert Brown Jr and other city employees as well as a contractor with a semi-trailer worked all day to clear a site that had been an issue for well over a decade. Brown says he plans to work with City Attorney Ray O’Dea to develop concrete guidelines for clean up for properties that have not been attended to for years.
