The Wakefield Township Board of Trustees has voted to approve a formal conflict of interest policy that was necessary to allow the township to receive just under $31,000 from the American Rescue Plan. The funds that were issued in the Spring are expected to be disbursed in two parts over the next two years. The conflict policy allows for a municipality to accept funding so long as there is a report written to the federal government. The board also voted to accept the federal funds. The board’s next regular meeting will be on Aug. 3 at 5:30 p.m. in the Wakefield Township Hall.
