A new Geriatric Behavioral Health program has begun at the Aspirus Ironwood Hospital. It’s an intensive outpatient program. Clients will visit for the whole day, receiving therapy, as well as med management if necessary, and will have the opportunity to be around others and experience some social contact, which over the course of the last year has been difficult due to the pandemic. The pandemic has stressed everyone, and the elderly especially can suffer since socialization like going to church or visiting with families hasn’t been possible.
