GCC Makes Decision on Masking for New Semester

Gogebic Community College officials announced late last week the college will require face masks to be worn indoors. The decision is based on the recommendation of both the CDC and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. Regardless of vaccinatin status, the expectation is that everyone wears a mask indoors. With the prevalence of the Delta variant, GCC president George McNulty said masking is an important step in keeping everyone at GCC safe and healthy. The GCC fall semester begins Aug. 23. The college will be offering both in-person and online classes at both its Ironwood and Houghton campuses this semester.
