The Downtown Ironwood First Friday for August was held in the Downtown city square this past week, Live music was provided by local band the Superior Horns and Blue Ice. The event also featured vendor booths in the City Square. The Historic Ironwood Theater showed ‘The Karate Kid’ and the Downtown Art Place invited people to participate in the creation of a community art piece, which was themed after the Emberlight Festival’s Art in the Park show. Five other community art pieces have been created at First Fridays and other City Square events, those pieces will be displayed in the Range Art Association’s 66th Annual Art Show held at hte Ironwood Memorial Building Auditorium from the 26th and September 5th.
