An Almost Normal Labor Day Weekend This Year

The unofficial end of summer is this weekend and the 65th annual Labor Day Festival returns in full force after being called last year due to COVID-19. The festival starts on Friday with a community picnic @ 5 at Marina Park, with free hot dogs, drinks and chips. The Maxwell Street sale opens at 10 on Saturday, and there will be music throughout the festival. Car show, kiddie parade and fireworks are on the agenda for Saturday. Sunday starts early with the Ed Hansen 5 & 10 K race, with registration at the FireHall or you can register in advance online. Then the parade, with Marty’s Goldenaires Drum and Bugle Corp and the Community festival after the parade.
