The Gogebic-Iron County airport board approved a request to seek bids for a project to expand the passenger area of the terminal from 18 to around 30 seats. The work would move the current air traffic organization office of the FAA to another area of the building. The board also approved a request to negotiate prices for a used broom truck to be used for a couple of years until and new one is ordered and built. The truck has been on the list for many years and is essential to remove light snow from the runways before it can freeze into ice in the winter.
