Storm sewer issues on Galena Street in Bessemer have delayed the city’s water and sewer project. According to an engineer with C2AE, the project schedule is off by a couple of weeks. In a report to the city council earlier this week, structures are being found that needed repair or removal of them before work could continue. To make up for lost time, Saturday work may be scheduled. Storm sewer issues on U.S.2 between Peck and Beecher are also taking more time than anticipated.
