Members of the Wakefield Township board of trustees learned that shooting noise originating in Wakefield has resulted in a complaint from a Wakefield city resident on a neighboring property. The issue had been previously discussed at an earlier meeting of the Wakefield City council, where the city manager explained the matter is out of the city’s jurisdiction, but that he would consult the Michigan State police and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, then schedule meetings with the affected parties as needed. Both the complaining party and the subject of the complaint have been met with, but no resolution has been devised yet.
