More Licenses Means More Employment Opportunities

At their meeting last week, the Ironwood Planning Commission recommended the city commission increase the number of marijuana licenses allowed under the city ordinance. The committee recommended that the number of available licenses in each of seven commercial categories from two to up to six. Commission member Mark Silver was not present and emailed his opposition to the increase. The board vote was 5-0 in favor of the increase, citing additional employment opportunities.
