Police are searching for a 19-year-old Ironwood man who was convicted on multiple criminal sexual conduct charges Wednesday, but fled the court before he could be taken into custody. Trent Perlich did not return to Gogebic County Circuit Court after being allowed to leave for lunch while the jury was deliberating. Perlich was found guilty on three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. Each conviction carries a possible life sentence and a mandatory minimum prison term of 25 years, including lifetime electronic monitoring as a registered sex offender. In response to Perlich fleeing, his bond was revoked and a nationwide pick-up warrant was issued for his arrest.
