Hurley Employs Money Saving Plan

The city of Hurley is moving toward refinancing sewer bonds with a resolution to seek bids for an opportunity to save millions of dollars over the existing bond rates. The Hurley City Council earlier in the week unanimously adopted a resolution authorizing the issuance and establishing for the sale of water and sewer system revenue refunding bonds. The city currently has four outstanding water and sewer bonds from 2009, and refinancing could save the city $2 million over the term of those bonds.
