In the past few weeks, members of the Marenisco Township Volunteer Fire Department completed several layers of MedEvac training thanks to flight staff who work in the local region. One of the most exciting aspects of the training is when a MedEvac crew landed a helicopter on the athletic field at the old K-12 school for flight training. The landing was to help familiarize MVFD members with the loading of patients to a copter. The training had been put off from a previously scheduled date due to the crew having to respond to an actual call while training.
