The grand opening of the Pat O’Donnell Civic Center is getting close, Ironwood has received it’s temporary occupancy permit for the center and a final list of over 200 items have been completed. An announcement on the Civic’s FB page said the opening date was coming soon and that there might be the possibility of in-line skating in the rink before it’s flooded and frozen for the winter season. Civic Center Manager Michelle Rigoni-Sivula has given a loose date of the end of the month. Contractors, subcontractors and even civic center board members as well as volunteers have worked hard for months to complete the work.
