The Emberlight Festival is looking to make Ironwood a center for opera. Emberlight Festival’s artistic director Miles Mykkanen, presented a program of classical music this past Saturday
and remarked that classical music should become a part of the school curriculum. Mykkanen admitted that classical music requires “a little bit of understanding and research,” but that it can be grasped easily by someone willing to put in the effort. There will be another Performance Infusion event at site 18 in Miners Memorial at 1 p.m. on Saturday as part of Emberlight Festival.
