Tree Planting Observes World Elder Abuse Awarenss

Residents at the Gogebic Medical Care Facility observed World Elder Abuse Awareness Day earlier last week by planting a blooming cherry tree in the community garden. Residents were brought out to see the tree with facility resident Wayne Kangas in charge of the tree planting explaining the meaning of the event. Future events for residents include water sports, where residents slingshot waterballoons at “volunteer employees,” to help cool off and an indoor Fourth of July float parade.
