Construction of the roundabout at the intersection of US 2 and 51 continues and as it does, Wisconsin Department of Transportation officials are planning the demolition of the bridge over US 2. Construction crews are slated to begin removing the bridge later this month, starting with the half of the bridge that goes over the westbound lanes of US 2. Workers will finish removing the bridge and start working in the eastbound lane in mid to late July. The completion date of the project is planned to be Oct. 28.
