The Wakefield City council has decided to refer back to the Planning Commission the rather sensitive subject of Plymouth Lake and an easement across private property owned by Harry Butler and Rod Ritter. The council made the decision based on a report from City Manager Robert Brown Jr., who explained that limited progress had been made in a meeting with Butler and Ritter as well as several other city and local trail officials. At the crux of the matter is Butler’s desire to prohibit motorized traffic through his property and the length of time he is willing to grant the easement for.
