Marenisco Township may soon have better options for internet service in the area. The township board of trustees voted to acquire the White City radio tower in the Kimberly Hill area. That tower is currently owned by the Gogebic County 911 department. If Marenisco acquires the tower, not only will the township have it to use to broaden their reception range, they will be able to lease parts of the tower to other providers. The acquisition of the tower was unanimously voted in for the cost of $1.
