Ironwood Sees Decreases in Some Areas of Annual Revenue, Increases in Others

IRONWOOD SEES DECREASES IN SOME AREAS OF ANNUAL REVENUE, INCREASES IN OTHERS.

The Ironwood City Commission held its last of budget workshops as it gets ready to consider approval of the 2021-22 fiscal budget on the 14th. Ironwood has $3,600,000 in total general fund revenues, which is almost a 25% decrease from last fiscal year. At the same time, the city’s overall fund balance balance has increased by 5% or just over $14,300. The city will also see a 3% decrease in general expenses due to staff restructuring are retirements, and there will be an additional $45,500 in the budget from recreational marijuana license permits that are expected to be approved later this year.
