Hurley School District Slowly Returning to Normal

Earlier in the week, the Hurley Public School Board voted unanimouly to lift the mask mandate in schools with instructions to administration to observe pandemic recommendations leading into the next school year. The board and about a dozen others attended the meeting without face coverings, something that hadn’t been done since the beginning of the pandemic. The resolution included language to follow quarantine guidelines in the event of positive COVID-19 tests for anyone at school. If there are no changes in pandemic guidelines by August, masking will remain optional during the school year.
