HISTORICAL SITE WILL HOLD MUSEUM AND MORE
The Erwin Township Historical Society broke ground late last week on the site of the new Erwin Heritage Park. The historical society plans on moving the East End Schoolhouse, built in 1915 to the site of the former Erwin Central School and then after restoration use the school as a museum. The park site includes six acres next to township hall. Local businesses have helped underwrite the cost of the move and the land on which the school will rest. The park will feature a playground for the kids, walking path and a Finnish log home and sauna.
